Christmas trees .
And twinkling lights
Happy faces going out .
To special places
Snow flakes falling
Children calling.
Presents round the tree
I wish that they were free.
Carols singing church bells
Ringing calling you and me. .
Lots and lots of party food
little children being good.
Girls and boys with brand new toys
In the house so much noise.
Brand new clothes and cozy toes.
Sitting by the fire.
Big red suit and two black boots
Guess who that could be.
Strange old faces from far away places
Coming for their tea.
But best of all a baby born
A Saviour to set us free.

This is by far one of the best poems entered into my contest. Sadly it didn't win anything but i will be holding a christmasy contest in a few weeks and this would make a great entry.
I especially like this stanza

a lovely christmas write (and the first one i have read this year there are a few little spelling mistakes (children..clothes..their tea..) fixing these will make it much better,thank you for sharing this lovely poem and i hope you have a very merry christmas
