Of masculine beauty our hero is made,
He holds his conviction as he holds his blade,
His shield bears an eagle, his emblem and crest,
A symbol of freedom he takes on each quest,
For no one will tie this wild warrior down,
Regardless of virtue, or passion, or crown.
Upon his bold steed he sets out to meet dangers,
Prepared to confront the most fiendish of strangers,
Whatever the cause of a damsel's distress,
He'll ride to her rescue, he'll do nothing less,
A whole host of fairy-tale maidens to save,
Imprisoned in towers and trapped in dank caves,
Enslaved by cruel giants or trolls in the dark,
Are there fiery dragons guarding their hearts?
No matter! Our Knight is as brave as can be,
He'll rescue them all, the way he rescued me,
Each one a Princess to be saved from her fate,
And carried to safety within castle gates.
It's hard to believe in such gallant folk-lore,
It's hard to imagine a Knight without flaw,
But you'll find a truth running deep in his blood,
The battles he fights, he does fight for the good,
Yes, he will win glory, and he will win sex!
Such modest rewards from the girls he protects,
And protect them he does, he cares for them all,
Responding with valour to each distressed call,
So just for this evening, I know you can't stay,
Knight! take off your armour and blow me away!

Wow, you sure are making it hard for me to pick a favorite. Both of your entries are just outstanding. I immensely enjoyed reading this poem. The only suggestion I would make on this poem is that maybe it would be an easier read if it was broken down into stanzas. I wouldn't change any words just break it up into stanzas. Just an idea.
