The more I see, the less I know
For knowing is believing
In innocence and in beauty,
In love and in honesty;
I've lost my faith in the living,
A lost seed may never grow.
The more I know, the more I see
(for my eyes are being nourished)
That love will soon turn into sorrow
As today turns yesterday into tomorrow;
While snow makes way for gardens reflourished.
The future past will the present be.
The less I know, the less I see
(for I have no backbone)
Of corruption and of cruelty,
Of hatred and of hypocrisy;
I am entirely made of stone,
Nothing can ever break me.
The less I see, the more I know
For seeing is believing
In the visible and the unclean,
In that which should not be seen;
Until forever I will be bleeding,
Knowing that the heart is our only hero.

Woah. The middle stanza there is pretty powerful. I love the confident, yet broken air in this. To be honest, I'm not sure what to say about your poem. I like it, but I really can't pinpoint why....
Though I whole-heartedly agree with the title- time is an enemy.
Brava!
