Life in our Shoes

Isn't it wierd how you can forget?
Like how all of your goals have already been met.
We put up with teachers, homework, and tests.
Come on now can't you fill inthe rest?

You can't can you? How did I know?
You forgot what it was like to go down this road.
You say you remember just what it's like.
But do you really? are you sure that is right?

Everything you said that you have been through.
You've thought this before, now you're telling US what to do?
Give us some choices. Ones WE need to make.
From first crush, to parties, to even heartbreak.

When it comes that time, remember what to do.
Take a minute and put yourself in our shoes.
If it's the wrong choice that we happen to make.
We know for the next time, the lesson's there on the plate.

We listen to you, yes it is true.
But whoever likes to be told what to do?

Please tell me what you think

Reminds me much of the Jimmy Eat World song "Work". Of course, I read it, and I almost "rap" to it. It's sweet, it has a point that is.. there. I like it.

    Few spelling errors, but.. yeah.

I feel this, I understand this, definately like this. I've been in the situation where it's just like.. my "father", or even friends... are just expecting so much from me.. but just don't understand where I'm coming from when I make my mistakes.
