We pray to heaven
for answers to our woes.
We search the world over
seeking yet failing to find.
We trip and stumble,
dumb and blind.
We lie in the ditch where
we have fallen
doing nothing,
when all we need
do is look up and see.
The cross where
they hung him.
The cross
that set us free.
Jesus came down.
He shed his glory.
Jesus came down
to tell his story.
He came down to give
us salvation.
All we have to
do is believe.
Jesus came down
in humiliation.
Jesus came down
to save all nations.
Jesus came down
to be lifted up
for all to see.
He came down to
teach us to pray.
Jesus came down
to show us his way.
Jesus came down
for his children.
