Daddy Dearest

I'm bruised,
Inside and out,
From someone,
Who is supposed to love me,
And care about me,
But a few drinks in your system,
And you lash out at me,
Pounding your fist,
Into my stomach,
Pulling me,
Down the hall,
Pushing me,
Into the wall,
Grabbing me,
And not letting go.

Very graphic - visual lines you have penned here. People change when they drink too much, and some become violent and nasty. Sorry you were at the end of such a man. Those memories are not nice ones that you carry along with you. Thanks for commenting on LOving a Drunk - glad you read it. Have a good day!
