Sidus Deus

Have you ever wondered
what it would be like
to talk to the moon
outside your window?
To pluck the stars
from their heavenly thrones
a million miles away?
To have a friend,
that belongs to you alone?
To have a love,
as pure as the night?
To walk alone,
and never feel the cold
that we associate
with the dead?

Please tell me what you think

  • I'm sure hundreds of people have wondered about these things, and how to achieve them. This was simple, didn't require a lot of thought from the reader, but it was really good all the same. One thing though, you've got a pretty good flow of words, but you do ask the question "To have..." while all the other phrases are a little different. Does that make sense, I know I sound kinda confusing. But anyways, good job, I don't know where the title comes from, but it adds a little mystery to your poem.

    Great

I was reading comments I have left you. Why am I so mean to you? Why was I so mean to you. I'm sorry.

Really good poem. I like it. It kinda makes me sad. But I assume it's supposed to do that.
