i've seen your face in mirrors passing
held out hands forever in lasting
but no one stands beyond yond shadow
no pure forms holds any mantle
i've dreamed of you in moments shinning
held out hopes of us again dinning
the shadow on the wall wont fade
though its form rests in distant glade
her eyes are shimmering at me
slipping voices in dark dreams
i cannot lose this fight
but victory seems beyond my sight
where have you gone the moments passing?
where will you be while i am crashing?
that shadow down the hall is calling
and i grow tired of stalling
i miss beyond what love entails
i cry beyond my heart fails
i knew you shadow of distant times
knew your love your heart was mine
but now i chase a dream grown cold
mindless madness drives me old
i see that shadow on the wall
i hear its lovely siren call
