Midnight's Story Teller

Through her eyes she tells a story
With tears that flood the sky.
She speaks the bitter truth to them
Her wings won't allow her to fly.

She drinks spring water from crystal glass
As tears keep running down her face.
Her voice is raspy still
Though her story brings us to a hidden place.

Under velvet black she dances
Through midnight air she plays her song.
Under diamond smiles she prances
And urges you to come along.

She's a fairy no one's seen before
She's fallen unto the ground.
She's the kind that you'd adore
The kind that hardly makes a sound.

A sweet September night
Lying under heaven's gift.
She wonders what is truly right
As her head she begins to lift.

She dreams with everything she has
And relives memories whenever she can.
She tells stories with feelings like no other
That make her valuable to man.

Through her eyes she tells a story
With tears that flood the sky.
Through her eyes she sings a song
She looks our way with disarray,
But still we won't reply.

Very nicely done. You have some lovely imagery there.

"She drinks spring water from crystal glass
As tears keep running down her face."

    It's a really good piece.

Thanks for entering and good luck in my contest.

    Your Best Yet

Oh my gosh i love this peice. It is so well written and flows beautifully!
This is really one of the best peices i have read in a while!

I loved the last line of the first verse

"Her wings won't allow her to fly."

I thought that line was so beautiful and portrayed such a excellent picture of the girl who cannot break free.

I thought that the fourth verse was amazing, i loved how it sounded and it really made an impact.

    She's a fairy no one's seen before
    She's fallen unto the ground.
She's the kind that you'd adore
The kind that hardly makes a sound.

So beautiful, so many can relate to it and understand it.

Once more, i absolutly loved this peice. It completely blew me away!
