Cycle

Oh these musings I hold inside
translated through a warm sigh
I’m staring deep within your soul
trying to discover the secrets you hold
The virgin innocence I perceive in your blush
Don’t tremble, long ago I decided not to rush
All these hopeful emotions whelm within
We are everything that’s right, I say
That thing everyone tries to suffocate
and you purge every time you yank away
Behold this numbing cycle I truly hate

Crack a window - absorb the breeze
We’re only soul and spirit thrown in haze
Blood pumps to my fingertips
Reminding me that I’m still healing
Someday, I can only pray, someday

Gazing into the finite stars
Traveling alone
Please clasp my hand
The impossible - soar away
Don’t want to go there on my own

No
Don’t want to go there on my own
Don’t think I’ll go there on my own
Think we’ll have to go at it alone

Please tell me what you think

    Very Good

This is a good piece, three quite distinct pieces, I have in past often criticised such things, even in my own writings, however in yours I feel they work.

It is a really good piece of work, the sections don't seem to have a common thread, other than thoughts, but perhaps that is just me reading it!

    I really liked this.
