Mother's Year

The second Sunday in May
We celebrate Mother's Day
With dinner out,candy,flowers
She's a queen for twenty four hours

A short respite from daily chore
Which the years increase more and more
Gourmet cook,nurse,maid,baker
Chauffeur,teacher,peace maker

Everything done with loving care
No grief,no resentment there
Willingly,despite aches and pain
In bright sunshine or pouring rain

Mother's Day honor though very nice
Definitely does not suffice
So to all of you I say
Honor your Mother every day.

This is very beautiful. I loved the rhyming and this is very true. Mother's deserve more than one day a year.:) This is great and thank you for entering in the contest. Good luck!
