this senryu works for me...i like the ambiguity in the last line, as it throws up many possibilities, such as:
the cake didn't rise
you slept in & didn't rise
there was no surprise
& maybe there's a hint of sexual frustration in there as well...oh gee, i hadn't really thought of that one, until just then....
anyway, this senryu conjures up all sorts of images & dreams from its little three line bed, which can only be a good thing! -
