Time, Waiting

time crawls by
waiting for the phone to ring
time slows to almost a stop
waiting to hear his voice
time goes by without a glance
waitng to hear those 3 little words
time cheats as evening turns to night
waiting to be reassured
time flies by, late into the night
waiting ends with a simple message
time to sleep after reading "I'm so sorry"
waitng for the tears to stop and sleep to come.

I certainly can relate here. When we're worried and/or lonely, our minds can wander into all manner of dangerous imaginings and when we're haunted in this way, time has a way of moving painfully slow. I hope this write isn't about you and if it is, just know your in company with someone who knows. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed! Be blessed.--Kel

This piece has potential, its not bad as it is , but could be much better with a little tweaking
