"the darkness faded"
Darkness
That all I see
The light that once lived in this body
Was lost long ago
For five millennium I dwelt in the dark
Slowly that cherished light began to fade
Instead of becoming dark and cold
The darkness consumed me
I am the darkness
Once while sitting in the dark
Waiting, waiting, to be released from this cursed ring
In the distance there was a light
As these shattered legs began to run towards it
The light it started to grow
Chasing the darkness around this broken body away
Before I knew it I stood in a field of pure light
When the light had cleared
I realized just where I was
I was in a new body, staring out of chocolate brown eyes
And beside this body stood another like me
But he was of the purest light these eyes had ever seen
My light that’s when I met you
The day the darkness faded
My light you chased it away
The darkness faded away
Never to return
Now there’s two of me
One light, one dark
The darkness finally faded away

Shaken up!
Belinda, wow man, just wow. This poem shows a lot of chivalry in a sort of way. I like the life-changing of the poem. It reminds me when I first fell in love, man. I also view this poem as being two people much so that they one each other. Two souls merge to be together.
Live on and live again!
