on a day meant to be the saddest , came strength from within
America joined together, father brother and kin
we spoke proudly of the lives lost that day
the lives taken so abruptly, taken away
over SIX thousand died, all heroes in our eyes
and though they never wanted us to , we arose to their demise
Joined together, united we are. One nation Free
on September 11th, tragedy we did see
but the lives lost brought our spirits hope
1 year to the day
and the families scared, the children saddened
all effected in some way
UNITED WE ARE and we shall not fall
WE STAND FOR FREEDOM, and that above all
The war for freedom shall be won
and in our hearts... memories, of those lost...
Mother... Father... Daughter... and Son

Interesting tribute. Nicely written. I knew some people that died so I'm glad that people still remember and pay tribute to the fallen. Respect and honor the dead. On another personal note: I see you know songstress, she's one of my favs and I like her works so far. I'm still new though
. Keep on honoring!

i remember when you read this to me and i will say here what i told you on the phone....beautiful poem...in some ways a little choppy when seen here but i guess this is one of those poems that's better on the ear than on the eyes...it's still a very good write and very well dedicated to those who were involved in any way shape or form of this tragic day...you created a beautiful memorial poem...keep it up
