isolated, lost
in the folds of your voice.
my only escape: your presence
...tell life it can wait
I'm busy blushing to your muted shy gestures,
your over-played jokes.
comfort was found
in the sarcasm you spoke.
happiness
was lost somewhere
in your eyes.
time...
always so gracefully
paused at your fingertips
the shadow of your dimple,
the blink of your nervous eye:
the only muse & inspiration
for me to get over myself.
All is lost to happiness once your eyes find mine
with your smallest second...the day is lost to glory.

yes, life usually takes a back burner when love comes around. isn't that where the saying" got their heads in the clouds and their feet off the ground" comes from: new love. great write. you are are talented so keep the ink flowing.
