Goodbye

Swirling pain of treasures

lost...

taken before a

breath or a gasp,

fiery tears cascade

down the dry path

of heartbreak, to

that place where

no-one can reach;

Unnoticed by most,

seen by a few this

shattered soul fractures

into a million shards

of hopelessness;

Each breath a little

harder to draw...as

anger fights it way forward,

so dignity rears it's

head...

Speaking voices calm

the inner turmoil as the

pen spews forth a volatile

exclamation of wrath...and

with the outpouring comes

a gentle acceptance of fact.

    A FINE PIECE, INDEED!

    and
    with the outpouring comes
    a gentle acceptance of fact.

    When we learn to accept what is to be, what is beyond our controll, and what we can not change no matter how hard we must try - that is when we learn to go with the flow - roll with the punches - and to embrce what lies before us! This is perhaps the most dificult lesson to learn in life - to say the least . A FINE ENDING to a remarkable piece, indeed! Thanks SO MUCH for featuring it for otherwise I would have sadly missed this emotional and thought provoking poem on this windy and rainy Sunday night.
    Peace & Love!
    Earl.

    I read this as a great description of what happens when we pick up the pen instead of the sword. The pen gives us a minute before we write down the words (with better understanding gained in that moment) as to where the sword is just almighty and destrys everything in its path without a single thought to consequences. I might be completely off , but it worked for me Good work

    Ms Cutie, There is power and direction in that pen you own tonight. You are at your best when your back is up. - Ten out of ten I say -- thank you.
