I wish my thoughts were clear and warm
as AMEYA drowns in herself again-
embellished in solemn pulsation,
glorifying November with tears of ‘Amen’.
The LILY cracks and carves a path of
liberty for tragic petals,
whose wings of pollen scatter shores
of sterile prints I dreamt of last.
This fleece of pain she shed and stained
is buried ‘mong layers of words,
beneath the rope of a frequent caller-
‘neath AMEYA’s gallows bird.

Applaud
This beautiful poetry is like a haunting song of Loreena McKensitt, evocative and tugging at the emotions like a dark drawstring, the angels in heaven itself do sing. Excellent work, Kate, keep writing, you are wonderful.
This is well worthy of my humble earthly applause.
