As the moonlight spills across the floor,
I reach out for you once more.
Lost in deep slumber and ecstasy
I'm wondering what you're dreaming of
is it me?
You start to move and toss about,
reaching for me to put your arms around.
You whisper softly in my ear
I love you so much,
and I love you near.
Then your breathing is deep again,
and you are so close,
I can feel your love for me
from my Head to my toes.
I lay here and listen for the sounds in the night,
with your arms wrapped around and holding me tight.
You have been here through the good and the bad.
Through the days when I get so mad.
You have comforted me in so many ways,
through the nightmares and the pain.
So many times you have rescued me,
to bring me back to reality.
Our love transcends the test of time,
it fulfills our souls and our minds.
I smile peacefully with you by my side
and thank God that I am so lucky to be your wife.
