Head's a'Whirl, It's All a Swirl

Head's a'whirl, it's all a swirl-

Magictrips, Mousesavers, Disney World Dream Vacations

Information, photos, tips, slap the credit card on it-

Scan hotels, hot resorts, high-rise honeymooning sorts

Radisson, Marriott, palm trees ever in the sun

free shuttles, kids eat free, rates start at $163

tickets here, tickets there, at the airport unaware,

security searching; plane in sun, luggage in Saskatchewan?

Touch down at the last airport, not too far from Disney World

airport transportation vans, pick out car's new rental plan

settle into hotel suite, two rooms, bunk beds, pretty neat

very dark now, early start, midnight parkmen cleaning hard...

Hop in car, not very far, Disney Theme Parks- half-an-hour

Found the entrance, drive right in, 7 more miles to Magic Kingdom

Disney News, Disney Stores, Disney Pins, Disney Posters

Cinderella's Coronation, It's a Small World imagination

off to ride the Jungle Cruise, in Enchanted Tiki Room

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Pirates of the Caribbean...

There's those fluffy clouds again, rains every day at 11am

Safari at the Animal Kingdom, watch the hours of operation

Chakranadi Chicken Shop, Chip & Dale Restaurant

Munching on some Petrifries at the Restaurantosaurus

before we ride the Himalayas where the Yeti tries to roar us

Typhoon Lagoon is the rave- tubing, rapids, giant waves;

another water park, so sweet- but now too burned for Blizzard Beach.

Evening time- all the lights, watch Epcot fireworks tonight

My favorite time and inclination? Reading Disney Cruise Information-

peaceful, quiet, romance, we- but some things were not meant to be!

Talk about your whirl wind tours! Been there, omg, twice and the west coast park once. This with a package of OTHER central Florida attractions was more than enough for this lifetime. So you have my deepest sympathies.Felt like a short legged pack mule bringing up the rear loaded down and sweating. You need a vacation from your vacation.Upon arrival home after two weeks and my luggage kept traveling.I didn't care if I ever had those cloths again. First mid 70's trip.I had airport security called down on me for a family size bottle of Scope mouthwash in my carry on.They thought me a Cuban terrorist with a mulatough cocktail.BIG FUN!~~Suseann

You're most welcome. The parent's perspective thing worked, and better fits my way of looing at things than anything else would've. Wow, that's a pretty well-packed poem I though, I can hardly imagine it having more.

Fast moving. Rhymes that didn't make me retch. I'm not a fan of disney, but I like how you put everything dizzyingly together. Very fitting. The personal moment at the end was a good conclusion.

Wow, this is great. I was at Disney World last July. I had so much fun where I could just be a kid again for a week. Sounds like you did alot. We didn't go to Amimal Kingdom. We went to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Universal Studios. We stayed at Summer's Bay which is a timeshare resort. We stayed at the Marriot at my first trip. The marriot was being remodeled and we had lousy service.

This is fast moving, gripping stuff. I loved it that your words conveyed the fast moving pace in the park as well. As always you took my imagination and filled it with lovely images. Well done on this piece. Good luck in this contest.

I like this poem. It reads like a list but still awesome. I grew up EVERYDAY(literally) in Disney World. My parents didn’t work very much so we went everyday… it was like… I mid afternoon picnic for us. So I really liked this and it really touched me. Great work. It really showed wondrous memories

thanks, Allura- all from the parent's perspective here, of course! and you've reminded me I left out most of the roller-coasters (but then for a parent, the whole trip is a roller-coaster...!)

    Tell It Like It Is

Reads a bit like a list, but I've been to 6 Flags and it is a rush~rush, walk your feet off, cram in as much as you can. Ultra commercial, but the kids are dancing with excitement! Not been to Disney World, but it's all the same difference Oh! To be that young and energetic again (And being rich would help, to ) Captures the mood perfectly, and the last two lines wrap it all up Best wishes in the contest.

Nice! I have never been to DisneyWorld, but naturally I've seen pictures, heard stories, and watched movies containing it, and yet I never got what was so fun about it. Reading this made me see it and nearly experience a bit of it. Your fast-moving imagery was very entertaining. Great job.
