Inside This Drawer

Carefully hidden away inside of me

are thoughts of you when you were three

Our names etched by a lava rock in my car

your artistic talents on display for all to see

Carefully hidden away inside of me

are thoughts of you when you were five

Easily reciting "manipulative's" to this mom

your intelligence on display for all to see

Carefully hidden away inside of me

are thoughts of you when you were eleven

Dream upon dream filling your head

your imagination on display for all to see

Carefully hidden away inside of me

are thoughts of you when you were sixteen

Struggling, straining not to be like me

your independence on display for all to see

Carefully hidden away inside of me

are thoughts of you, how quickly you grew

Love has fashioned this beautiful bloom

my very heart on display for all to see

Oh Noble1, I LOVE the twist in the end...

The entire piece is put together really well I must say. This is outstanding work with LOADS of YOUR heart intertwined...

I like the different ages that you picked and wrote about... the way you captured your child's stages as they went through life and matured...

This is REALLY well done dear!!

I love you sis... God bless and hold you!
