Please Lord

Please Lord, give me the wisdom it takes to be a good mommy.
Help me to be what she needs and raise her to what she should be.

Please Lord, help me to show her the right way.
Help me to lead her to Your love and to praise You each day.

Please Lord, help me to protect her from all the worlds harm.
Help me to teach her to keep her innocence and her charm.

Please Lord, help me to be both her mommy and her dad.
Help me to make up for his absence and keep her from being sad.

Please Lord, help me to be the best mommy that I can be.
Help me to teach her to be much better than me.

Please Lord, help me to show her how much I love her.
Help me to make my little girl proud, that I am her mother!

    Prayerful

When Christ answers your prayer, if He hasn't already, you should show your poem / prayer to Marissa. She probably would appreciate it. I have two small daughters whom I always pray for. Parents and children all need prayer. There are so many pitfalls in this world. God Bless! mattharris
