Surviving dying
trying to understand
why I'm unable to comprehend
all the things messing with my head
So I let it all go
and then stop pretending
that I do not know
the meaning of the life
I've been given.
I hear screaming inside me
driven to be set free
hiding intending to fight me
then we realize things
and it hits us like lightning
I write things
that might be exciting
not likely to make sense
to the rest of this dense earth.
Why do we keep fighting each other?
I expect hatred
everyday that
I wake up and step out
to face what makes us stress out.
Impatience breaks us,
well how are we going to make it
unless we embrace this
time that's outrageous
it drags you to your fate with
everyday slipping away into a matrix.
We're ostentatious
but I will say this.
True greatness
is learned
through patience.

Author notes
This doesn't mean to wait for fate to smack you in the face.
Rather, chase the day, but dont hate the way
things take time to change.

Agreed. I can relate to so much of this! It is frustrating, the times in which we live, the stupidity and senselessness under which so many things are based and carried out. And too many will never realize it, and not enough will change. But there are those of us who will remain on that alternate route, hoping and working towards the better.
There is certainly a lack of patience in much of this world, and thus, a terrible lack of greatness, only those who "think" they're great...when they're not

this is a greatly detailed and wonderfully styled write. I really enjoyed reading it.. poetry expresses who we are..but also what we live. Patience gives life some liberance. Thanks for sharing this amzing write. And I love that you realize that not everyone understands we are or what we came from to get this far.Great write.
