Hiver Sans Fin

Hiver Sans Fin

(endless winter)

Hope abandoned me...

as the Autumn bright turned Winter gray,

                                                         I lost you
and in the bits and pieces of decay

that was once my life;     my dreams
all sanity had fled,

and left me writhing
in a quickened flight,

(like the wings of the crow)

in utter disregard

of the few shreds of hope that remained
And those deliverers of doom,

(those crow)

danced on the corpses

of courage, hope, and ambition
as the setting sun brought

despondency, hopelessness, and doom
leaving me curled up

inside a hollow version of myself, wondering....
                                                    will winter ever end?

Wow, this is one I had yet to read.... So very well expressed. A sullen sort of darkness setting into the sun of the soul. Such a brilliant pen you have my dear - I loved this one!!!!

[[And the picture is absolutely divine!]]]

This sadness of Winter's grip.Doesn't hit me until Feb.at most times. But this piece expresses that dismal feeling well.Take heart though. It marks new fresh beginnings of life again with the coming of Spring. Wonderful piece.~Suseann and thanks for reading

    Tres bien

This is a nice write, I really like this "inside a hollow version of myself," expressing some form of empty feeling, just a bit disapointed hoping some more french...

I am sure that as the days got shorter and colder this feeling must have been the main thought of many people though out history.

But seldom has it been said so beautifully.
