Giving Thanks To God
So many times I pray to God,
I ask Him for so many things.
Then I thank Him with all my heart,
as I wait to see what God brings.
One day I sat in deep deep thought,
wondered what God wanted from me.
As my mind began to wander,
I wondered just what it could be.
God wants me to remain faithful,
in good times and in bad times too.
He wants me to know in my heart,
no matter what, He sees me through.
God wants from me, my loyalty,
follow what the commandments say.
To grow in wisdom and knowledge,
to read my Bible everyday.
He wants me to love my neighbor,
to allow His love to quench my thirst.
Live my life by the golden rule,
within my heart to put Him first.
