Falling through time

Missing image

Gentle spheres chase shadows
across a wonderland retreat,
an angel’s playground
complete with heavenly choir.

A pool of restoration waits,
delve within its clouded surface.
Breathe deeply; close your eyes
and exhale…

Rest within the lulling charms
of its whispered consuming song,
float a while on tranquility’s sigh,
a moment to fall through time…

Glide on silken wings of joy
across the realm of fragrant mist,
soar higher, ever higher on
above the clouds where peace awaits.

So sweet the breeze of pristine air
where sunbeams dazzle brilliant blue,
languish there amidst healing powers
feel revived - renewed -
for haggard shores were left behind
while you were falling through time.

Author notes

I hope it brings a moment of peaceful tranquility

Well this was a serene and calming poem, if I had fallen out of the Hercules and was reading - I would landed softly...Brilliantly done and it was a great idea to connect your poem with a song..

    Mental holiday

This is like a guided meditation, as your imagery plays across my mind. The mood is serene, enhanced by such lines as "float a while on tranquility’s sigh". I like the subtle rhymes by assonance in the last stanza.

The musical link is nice, but a little distracting - I like one or the other.

The verse, the written visions, the calming serene skies and clouds, the music... and the author meld to a universal potion.
I think it's going to be a very good day.
