I peak in the looking glass to see
Just who is staring back at me
A smile upon a golden face
That's not right, it's out of place
Radiant eyes shine so bright
But deeper, all I see is night
Skin aglow of copper tones
Yet knowing just a bag of bones
Manicured hair of auburn red
Somehow, though, I still feel dead
I stare into the glass with care
Still wondering what I'm seeing there
I know this image is not real
How can it be? It's not what I feel
Perhaps a wish, maybe a dream?
In the looking glass, things aren't what they seem
I ask though, why do my eyes lie
To shatter the glass as I cry
Author notes
Ahh, feeling shitty today.
