Dove

When I first saw
your beautiful face,
I didn't know
my horrible fate.

You were everything
I had ever dreamed.
Your face would make
me constantly beam.

The only problem,
was that you couldn't see
past the lies
that were said about me.

So now I'm stuck
in this ditch,
While you're off laughing,
when people call me a b**.

Don't worry though,
I'm tough enough to move
on without you and to
carry myself like a dove.

    YOU GO GIRL

now that's what I'm talking about. you are using that gift that I told you to unlock. at first you started off unsure and it seemed like you were thinking about what you were writing and then you just let go and let your frustration do the talking for you. this is the kind of poetry that makes poetry what it is. sure poems can be written for love but pain is what makes people feel the poetic connection to life. YOU GO GIRL
