My love, I beg you, come to me
On a shimmering wind. Tis
Only you who holds the key to my dreams.
Night whispers caress my mind with
Longing thoughts of you. This need
I feel inside has captured my soul. The
Gentle wisps of your moist breath
Holds me spellbound. An overwhelming desire
To be in your arms, safe. My heart
Searches for the beating of yours. To find
One moment in your embrace, knowing
Not of fear, but love. The one thought
Allowing me to encompass all there is to live for;
To be one in mind, body, and soul. Mi amour, I
Await that breath, to whisper I love you.
Author notes
And yes the title is the song from Beethoven.
I can wish, can't I?

Thank you Kari. Everyone keeps telling me wishes can come true, (or is that me telling everyone else that?) but I have yet to see an inkling of faery dust this way to make me even think I am on the right track. When I wrote this, I was sitting on my patio, listening to the song and staring at the moon. It just kind of developed on it's own. But between that moon, and the stars up there, I will always continue to wish, and maybe one day...
Appreciate the comments hun.
Sorry for rambling

Beethoven....Goes well together I think...
And I agree Moonlight Sonata is a great piece of music..
Nice poetry to read at 5;45am
The moon can be inticing to write about, being the feminine side of the sun...but like everything, they need each other to survive..Love your poetic style, keep them coming Storm..
Bless you...

An interesting statememnt, but true. But being a night freak, one would have to venture to write more about the moonlight than the sun. Thanks for the comment.

Thank you.

Isn't it remarkable that poems written about moonlight differ so much from those written about sunlight, when one considers
that moonlight is actually reflected sunlight!
Maybe there's a poem somewhere in that thought.

Thank you for the comments. It is one of the few truly classical pieces I could listen to over and over for hours. The melody is so enchanting and kind of mystical, but soothing.

I liked it and believe me if you never said anything, I would have never known it was Beethoven. Very sweet, I really did enjoy this.
