Whirling in a circle round and round,
Her soul feels heavenly bound.
It's the little girl, Ellie is her name,
The little girl that just became
The greatest dancer, a ballet pro;
Tonight's the night, the final show,
If she's loved by them watch and sing,
The international fame it will bring.
The music starts, she begins to dance,
She knows this is a unique chance,
And soon she feels how the music sounds,
Whirls in a circle round and round.
She feels the beat, she lives it straight,
And everybody sits and waits,
They are all quiet, watch the show
Of the loveliest dancer they know.
She feels like she could fly away,
No one dares to clap or to say
"See, she's great, I told you before!"
They all sit and wait till her feet become sore.
But this doesn't happen, she dances along,
The fourth and fifth and sixth lovely song.
It seems like she's never going to end,
She's now in her own little ballet land.
But then she stops after hours of fun,
Her family cheers "We love you, hun!"
The crowd goes wild, they are all impressed,
She had danced and danced without a rest!
Now it's official, she's really a pro -
International, too, everyone knows.
And what did she do when the show came to end?
She danced along with her fam and her friends.
*dedicated to Ellie (little-hug)*
