Heaven
I have never sauntered the streets of gold,
Never been to the city where no one grows old,
I was never greeted at the pearly gate
Or lived in a world free from deadly hate
I have never seen the palace of pearly white,
Or met the king who needs no ruthless knight.
I have never heard Archangels sing
Or seen an angel spread a wing.
I have never been to the sacred land
Or listened soothing sound of the immortal band
Yet I have been to heaven,
I have never seen St. Peters divine face
Or bask in the warmth of the lord’s embrace.
I have never seen wild animals roam free
While children frolic and laugh in celestial glee.
I have never seen a shimmering diamond sky
Or mothers who never cry.
I have never been on a diet of milk and honey
Or lived in the city that’s forever sunny,
I have never seen oceans where it never rains
Or been where sin ceases its grisly pains.
Yet I have been to heaven,
I have been way beyond the skies
Where sheer erotic fantasy lies,
I have been played like a flute,
To the point where desire had me mute,
Mesmerised by the pleasures of a magical hand
I have travelled to a heavenly land.
