The End

It's the dawn
Of the end
All is gone
Not an animal or friend
Will be found at the end, of time
Earth will be bitterly shattered into a burning mass
At the end of time
At last
It will all be in the past
Earth will burn
From the inside out
That's something to learn
But it will be too late
Our fate
Will be reached
The poles will melt to the core
The deserts will be no more
The ocean will melt into the earth
Causing everything to collapse
Humans will die off
All will be melted, into hell
That’s where we will dwell
We've ruined our planet one step at a time
Eventually time caught up with us
But by that time
It was too late
We now have reached the end

    Ahh an environmental poem?

...Yes...I agree...reached the end indeed. I personally think it is too late for us to make a difference but I don't see that as an excuse for everyone to not try...governments in particular. Western governments to be even more so.

Hmm...on the poem front...it was fairly simple and unrefined, a streaming of conscious...ranting I suppose. Which is good on the "Ashamed" part, but not so good on the poetry side of things. However, I liked your intermitent rhyme. Some of your imagery was good, other parts were cliched.

    Humans will die off

That line caught me as particularly poor

I am undecided on your repetition of "time"...maybe it is a little overdone. I don't like the capitalisation of every line, but that's just personal opinion. Thank you for your entry, a little simple but you put your message across well. Good luck x
