A Hero shall lead them,
Against the coming night,
Against the unending tide.
Men shall weep,
For there future.
They shall pray,
To whatever gods,
That may be.
And they would say,
Goodbye,
To all those they loved.
Before standing,
Against the tide,
Without fear,
Or hesitation.
They would stand,
Side by side,
Together on the road.
And a Hero shall lead them.
Together they shall stand,
There ground,
And refuse to back down.
They shall fight,
Till there dying breath,
But they shall not waver.
They shall know,
No fear,
Nor hesitation.
And they shall walk,
Down the road together,
To the very gates of hell.
And a Hero shall lead them….

I liked this. I felt that it was a bit sad but also quite hopeful. There wasn't a 'happy ending' as such like I was expecting but there was the strength of solidarity and unity among allies. This was a good narrative poem. I liked the assonance of 'night' and 'tide'. BTW, 'there' should be 'their'
