Finding angel

Finding angel
was tough enough
now I have to find
the one thing I am missing
and have missed since my birth

Finding angel
rolling thunder
as I hunt under every stone
overturning monsters
I had long buried there
in search for what I had never buried

Finding angel
over the tallest heights
the river widens
as it drinks the nectar of the gods
which I had rejected
it would not soothe my soul

Finding angel
eaten alive by my passion
where is it? where is it?
only the blink of the lightning knows.

Finding angel
no one knows my language
they are all drunk
on the wine I was forbidden to taste
how long shall I search?

Finding angel
hidden in leaves
wrapped in parchment
I destroyed long ago.
Who can tell me
if it passed by through these ages?
Only the ashes that once were pages.

Author notes

I used that phrase again: ashes that were pages. I love taht one and am proud I came up with it. So i might use it again! By the way, I don't really know what this is about...hunting for something I don't know exists...very odd...
