in this modern world of wonder
its so unfair to squander
all the beauty that nature holds
just to shape the earth to are man made molds
the tree that stands there strong and still
will not bend to my own will
for it knows with in its heart
that i am just another ugly part
this race that we call human
and this culture that keeps us assuming
that we are the best and make all the rules
isn't quite right because we don't have the exact tools
how dare we mess will mother natures plan
just to feed the hunger of man.

First of all I'd like to thank you for entering this contest

The poem itself has quite some allures of a sonnet (if I look at the rhymescheme) but the rhythm is totally off in some places... Also, the rhyme doesn't really feel as a hundred percent and sounds forced in some places.
Anyway, the message you radiate within the words is one of a gentil and beautiful kind
well done!

Thank you for entering. You can fix as many errors as you like and make as many changes as you like until the end of today.
I have read your piece but I won't judge it until after the 26th.
Thanks for entering. Thanks for making a difference.

"how dare we mess will mother natures plan
just to feed the hunger of man."
Shout those words across the world, my friend, for all need to learn that message. Those were two amazing lines.
You have written a wonderful poem here...a truthful one at that.
It troubles my mind day in and day out why we are destroying this beautiful Earth. It seems we no longer care for the health of our Mother, and that ignorance is just disturbing.
Well said!

I would like to show you this famous poem:
When I Am Among the Trees
When I am among the trees,
especially the willows and the honey locust,
equally the beech, the oaks and the pines,
they give off such hints of gladness,
I would almost say that they save me, and daily.
I am so distant from the hope of myself,
in which I have goodness, and discernment,
and never hurry through the world
but walk slowly, and bow often.
Around me the trees stir in their leaves
and call out, "Stay awhile."
The light flows from their branches.
And they call again, "It's simple," they say,
"and you too have come
into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled
with light, and to shine."
