Been plucking at my feathers for weeks and weeks
A nervous twitch keeps popping out on my cheeks
I’ve been on a bug diet to try and lose weight
I just don’t want to be, on somebody’s plate
Ole fat Henrietta, she would make a great dish
I hope they choose her and grant me my wish
Or maybe Old Tom, it’s time for him to step down
There are other tom turkeys I could meet in this town
Why can’t those humans just eat pork and lamb?
They would get filled, each plate full with a ham
I refuse to be their diner without a good fight
I’ll flog and I’ll scratch and I’ll kick and I’ll bite
It’s not fair that we turkeys shake in our tracks
Being scared to death of that big deadly axe
So I’ll keep hiding in fear and jumping a hoop
Praying real hard that they’ll eat chicken soup

Te he he, that was cute and funny! I still think I will eat my turkey, but it was a different perspective of things. Very nice!

LMAO, the poem made me chuckle and the picture is cute and funny. I love your humor

Making fun of poor turkeys are you? Well I'm ashamed of you! The poor things get eaten just because we are so evil that we can resist their tasty legs and succulent breast. Then there is the divine giblet gravy and the wonderous hopes of the wishbone...oh the horror! I suggest you stop this senseless murder of a noble beast and try this Thanksgiving a ToFurkey...a turkey made out of tofu...yum...
okay I give up, pass me the drumstick!
