This is a letter for my seed
for when I leave this sinnin' shell.
I've been in hell so listen please
'cus these some words I've gotta tell.
I want you to see that I
didn't mean to leave you there.
Time to go, you gotta go,
But, I want you to know that I do care.
If you listen to these words,
you'll live much longer then I did.
Amd don't yaw;ll worry 'bout cha' daddy.
Now he's happy, now I'm his.
First thing I gotta say
is weigh your mind and weigh your heart.
Makin' sure your thoughts are pure
and your not loosin' to the dark.
Try to keep your head up,
when you fed up make it known.
If you cry when life won't lat up,
wipe your tears and let it go.
Don't be stingy, but, don't be stupid.
Don't be rude, but, don't be weak.
Don't be worried 'bout no man, no women,
nothin' that you can see.
Just trust in God the Most High,
read your Bible and go to church.
Don't try to solve no problem,
unless you pray, 'cus it won't work.
Thank the Lord for all your blessin's
and possesions that you gain.
Don't second guess his lessons,
pray in faith and say his name.
You'll be happy if you listen to yo' pappy
but, there will be truobles.
When they happen, don't dispise your-self,
just keep your feelin's humble.
There will be times when things look fine,
then your feet begin to stumble.
Keep your focus and remember what I told you
'cus daddy loves you.
Don't let the scary thing that thinkin' brings
leave you bound in fear.
Everything is everything when you believe
and thing are clear.
If you can do some good, then do some good.
Especially when it's due.
You wouldn't want to be left out
when the good deed pertains to you.
Keep the peace, at least, and keep
rude comments to your-self.
If you need to speak hard truths,
speak them only when it helps.
If beef gets in you way,
don't let it take you out yo' place.
Just concentrate, don't loose your way,
ask his grace and keep yo' faith.
God will grant you blessin's
if you just be true to self.
Honor God in constant praise,
he'll give you wisdom, peace and health.
