Finished

love's sweet splendor
forever tarnished
dishonest
misinformed
doubts swirling
like the fiery autumn leaves
a year of happiness
of sadness
how much torment can one heart take
do the good times outweigh the bad
laughter no longer echos in these halls
drowned out by deafening sobs
tear stained pillows
what other lies remain
can't take the pain again
why does the truth elude your lips
blatant lies
not once
not twice
but thrice
and I can't take the pain again
I swore I'd never let you hurt me again
but my heart wasn't good enough
my love wasn't good enough
and you kicked me to the ground
so trample me
this is the last time
your last chance
to hurt me

we're finished

Oh no!! What happened? I mirror Sunkissedrose's thoughts... Chris? I haven't spoken to you in ages (maybe years) and I am saddened to see you like this. I was hoping to find a silly limerick, or some of your wacky humour. Nonetheless, well written with raw emotion, to the degree that I am worried about you.

    Big Hugs,
    Christine

tears stained pillows. This sums it up for me, so clear and vivid crisper than crisp. Great write!

Do I dare ask what happened? I hope this isn't about you and Chris...sighs...this was very heartbreaking and sad, great write for the message at hand.
