Hello, Mr. President, my name doesn't matter
All I have are some questions, no matter
I want to ask if you're a happy man
Now that you've killed thousands of men
What you're doing is wrong,I know you don't see that
But hundreds of thousands have lifes on this line
for a war you started and now each night dine
voasting to friends how you'll get *them* back.
I know you believe what you're doing is right
and that Ossama Bin Ladin started the fight.
It's been to long, it's time to face facts
you became worse then him after those attacks.
Let me show you a glimpse of the future
a world you're creating right now, no more chances.
All people no matter the side will suffer
Mothers will cry, babies will starve and fathers will die.
All for a war you felt needed to happen.
Middle Eastern or American, what will it matter?
Millions more families will be torn into tatters.
Iraqui children with missing limbs
Frantic parents searching on whims.
And so you see Mr. Bush, Ossama Bin Ladin
was your war really worth the pain and the sadness?
Think of the people, since this war started
How many more deaths before you two stop it?
Bush, you claim Ladins the terrorist but
look what you've done. You've killed
You've killed hundreds of people for your own selfish causes.
I know you're still angry he did what he did
But whose the terrorist now? The truth is
You're no better then him.
You'll never admit it but you're no better then Ladin
And its because of this fact that I am saddened.
I must go Mr. president, thanks for your time
I only wish now, you'd change your mind.
I know you won't though, its just wishful thinking
that as an international leader, you'd be interested in leading.
Good bye Mr. President, I know things won't change
but at least consider what it is I have to say
As I leave to let you continue your work
just consider one final thing.
The American people chose you above others
to lead your country in a peaceful manner.
You don't want to let them down, am I right?
So why not consider, giving up the fight?
Author notes
I wrote this as a protest to the American war against Iraq. It didn't start out that way, it started as a poem about greed and what it does to people. I would very much appreciate reviews but that being said make sure their constructive.
