What's it gonna take for me

There's too much i would be
throwing away if that was my action
For they say actions result in
consequences.
And God knows that I don't
want to lose you.

over something so stupid as a breakup.
Friendship is too precious
to just throw away like newspaper.

When someone has feelings for someone else
as much as i do for you.
It takes guts to just leave that person behind
And I'm not one to abandon anyone.

Spending time together means the world to me
and I feel like I'm floating on air just seeing you smile
That's the smile i always want to see
I never want to see you cry
If i did,
we'd cry together

If our relationship is centered on God
we have nothing to worry about
praying for each other
talking about scriptures
and just having fellowship with one another
That's what I'm searching and praying for.

One to keep me warm when I'm cold
one to hug me when I'm sad
one to hold my hand when I'm scared.
Just someone who will BE THERE
But that same person
NEEDS to keep God 1st.

If our relationship is merely just
a simple friendship,
I would be happier to be friends than nothing at all
But i would love to have
a boyfriend who has
the same characteristics as you.
