Loving My Life

Missing image

The first sun in the morning
      penetrates my room, waking me..
like an old farmer with no fields to tend

I rise with the excitement of a littly boy
      greeting another day of play

      I say your name

The star is crimsom today, climbing slowly
filling the trees, with a warm amber glow..
All around, the world wakes with me

      I sit outside, sipping coffee

dressed in the first things I could find at hand
flanel pants and a sweatshirt, that proclaims..

      "Whatever"

Whatever shall I do with the days
that each contain a number, known by my Master
Whom shall share my days.. I wonder

A doe and fawn drink with me.
My flying friends, who no longer fear me
dine on the seeds I left the night before

My favorite Maple is fully aglow now,
      almost brillant orange..
A wonderous contrast to the blue of the sky
reflected deeply off the lake below.

Who but God could create this day for me?
The same friend, who spared my life so long ago
If you ever come close to death,
you will never forget again, how alive you really are

So I sit here, pondering the day
I will use to add to my story.
Writing my life thru acts created, day from day

      And thinking...
of my last words to you
      before we gave away, yesterday

"Our Farther, who art in Heaven"

I wake again loving my life.. and You

      Lee

This was beautifully written Rick...deeply honest and so easy to relate to. Glad I found this one today, a day of reflection and choices for me. Another perspective is always nice to have. A lovely array of thoughts and words!

    I love this one

most of all because it reminds me of a time when I was looking forward to each new day as a child would do.
Perhaps this is why somebody once was said to have quoted: ''You must become as a little child to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven''
Note: This goes for brats as well.
    Smile,

Nothing compares to such moments in your life, surronded by the love of God, which you have shared so nicely in your words. Very comforting words of love of a moment shared with peace and creatures of the earth.
    Beautifully done!

Just Lovely. The imagery is very real but has the quality of a dream. I could almost smell the coffee and the beautiful country air.

Love Life Nature. The three are one within the prayerof the heart.

Upon your lips and night and at your side at dawn,

Thank you for reading this. As we get older we begine to contliplate how many days remain for us. I have always tried to maintaine my child spirit, but I know well, each day does have a number assigned to it. I live on a private lake on an elevated site, the views are incredable as is the peace, Rick

    i dont normally read nature
but i read this because you wrote it
and it shows the love for my granny
    i loved this part:

I wake again loving my life.. and You

im having that feeling, ive changed a lot
and i used to wake up hating my image
hating my talents, hating my decisions
    and simply hating myself
its all changed since i wake up with a reason to live
i still remember crossing roads without care
but with one reason .. i dont even want to risk crossing
or if i do .. i want to use my last breath to say just how much i love that one special person
thats all .. and i dont mind leaving
    this a a great write
    full of imagery
    ur friend,
    ~NeVeR~

It's always a real treat to wake up with God's Light. It feels safe and He is a strong Rock for the day. Not everyone can enjoy that especially when you are in bondage. Thank you for the true Light and not fake.

Del, thank you for reading. It is always interesting to me, what is quoted in a writing. We all glean from our own perspective.

    This is what I pick

Whatever shall I do with the days
that each contain a number, known by my Master
Whom shall share my days.. I wonder

    Thank you, Rick

Great comment to me. If you look on my page, I am working on getting out in hard bound form. "Words of Love for Woman" I am waiting for the first proofs. I will look into Cappers.

Again, thank you for liking my writing. If you can find it near the back pages, Try "Forever and a Day" or "My Secret Heaven"

Love it! I particularly liked these parts:
A doe and fawn drink with me.
My flying friends, who no longer fear me
dine on the seeds I left the night before

I just love it! Carry on writing!

    keep it up!!

Love your thoughts and the peace you spread! Can't get enough! You should publish. Try Capper's out of Topeka. They even pay a pittance. I would suggest you arrange and edit your verses to avoid repetition and thought scattering.
