Autumn

Stark branches illuminate; along
The path evening begins to settle.
Discrepancies of cloud and sky.
Bulbous moon.  Stars hidden
By remnants of day.  Memory's tender
Possessions lure me---comfort against
The elements.  You offered a proper
Goodbye; you might return
One day at destiny's discretion.
I understand.

A dream token prayed for, delivered
As a gift.  Nightbird's bold warble calms.
My fierce intent unquestionable; the
Burning within indomitable.
The chill wind can't deter me.
Rock face!  Rock face!

Wow, this was a different kind of poem I have read today. But you know what? You have done a great job writing this poem and you have also chose the right words to use. Way to go- keep up your good work and never let anybody ever tell you that you cannot write- because you can and this poem has showed that you could... I wish I could give you an applaud for this poem but I ran out of them and also I am trying to save up enough points too run a contest sometime next week. I am 20 points away. But once I do have one running I would really love it if you were to enter- I love the way you write.

Amazing, amazing poem! I am partial to the sentiments sometimes connected to this time of year You've painted a beautiful physical AND mental tableau... I related very much to what you've expressed.
