When Old Friends Meet

When old friends meet
How amicable it can be
When their tender hearts
Speak of "His" love
They laugh as one

It's so complete
They know each other
Through and through
Their intentions are the same
To love and laugh as one
In utter contentment

How wrong it can go
When the issues become
So complicated
When the intention
Is lost
And the differences
Become apparent

Let me be to you
That friend
Who has her priorities
Straight
Let us speak with All intention
To love and laugh as one.

Presence, Lovely to here from you dear one. Your right, we don't chat enough but we have this wonderfull asset of Allpoetry where we can do even better than just chit chat.
We can share our deeper fellings, thoughts, asirations and dreams. I can honestly say that I have become a better communicator in the world directly due to my experiences at allpoetry. What a gift i feel we've been given.
Hope to hear a new poem from you soon Oh Poet Divine.
I am just sending my favourite poem The Walk (By YOU) to a dear friend. Ha! It's still my favourite Iv'e heard.
    Keep shining, Love Tara

Thanks so much for your kind message: for all your kind messages. With every one you brighten my day.
It's so true. When we can begin to view even strangers with that innocent heart of a child amazing things can happen....
It takes a lot of trust but the results, like Peace and joy and contenment make it well worth any risk.
God bless you in all ways, Tara

Beautifully stated Tricia. Human beings have that gentle power within them, to carry peace with them. So why not stear this boat of life towards peace. Tara

When we can look into the eyes of a "stranger" and speak these beautiful words, we will have come to know who We Are. I wondrous piece, dear friend.

    Be ever bright,

    Rod

I like your poem. May I share this one with you?
    It is called "Friendship" :
There's an old New Year's custom
    perhaps little known,
    wherein two good friends
    make amends;
    declaring to one another
    "Please forgive me 'brother'
for what I may have said,
    this past year,
    or done
    that hurt unknowingly"
    And thus, both forgive;
    moving on to live
    clean,
    serenely.
    Happy and free.

Would certainly take the edge off of stress over reuniting old friends.Comfortable as an old pair of shoes.Well worn in miles.Lumps and softened in all the right places.A broken in friend,no pretent needed.I liked this!~~Suseann
