Another Pray in Time of Another War

You whose ways are  high above earth,

Whose wisdom is not known,

To our Father who gave us birth,

We kneel before your throne.

Nighttime has fallen on us all.

Our world has gone astray.

Once again sword and shield we draw

To bring false peace our way.

The towers of wisdom we raised,

Where global leaders brawl,

The tiny Antichrists we praised

Have forsaken us all.

The fool has said there is no Grace

And we, who deemed him wise

How should we seek to see your face

When we believed in lies?

We who believed that you were dead

And scorned you yesterday,

How do we kneel in time of dread?

Spirit teach us to pray!

Grant us an undivided heart

That seeks no other thing.

Let us not tear ourselves apart!

Be now our Lord and King!

Let light into our darkness tell

Our deepest desperate prayer.

For, yet our souls in darkness dwell

We know that you are there.

    spiritual~

A beautiful and very spiritual poem of prayer...
I really like the entire poem but the last stanza just tugs at you...
In the first stanza did you mean throne instead of thrown?
I am so so I see the Chemo Dr Tues and going to ask about an alternative method of chemo...Hopefully they will be able to come up with something....
    Again this is beautiful
    Keep me in your prayers
    Hugs
    Susan~~~

    Great write!!!!!

Wow!!!!!!! This really gives me something to think about!!!!!!! I can tell this came straight from your heart and you feel very strongly about it.I especially like the last stanza where you wrote let light into our darkness tell oue deepest desperate prayer, for yet our souls in darkness dwell we know that you are there! I love that because no mayyert how dark or far we seem to feel away from God, He still has a way of letting us know he is always there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Great write................Toni

Beautiful heartfelt prayer that we need to say it out loud not just when night falls upon us but during daylight too for we need guidance towards the ligthed path that only almighty God can show and help us fight the demons within us. Beautiful song / melody in the form of a prayer.

I absolutely adore this piece! You've targeted the call to Divine in such a magnificent way. I share the aim and purpose of this communicated prose! ~ ElleAyche
