That's Catherine with a 'C'
And no I'm not a Katie or a Kit
and although I someday might be Cait,
For now I'm Catherine with an i-n-e not r-y-n
That's an e-r not an a-r
Oh please... all right, you want it straight
C-a-t-h-e-r-i-n-e
I know that it's a pretty name, I really like it a lot.
I don't mind that it's long
It means pure.
I'd like to think that it describes me as I am
cleansed by the blood
and given forgiveness from the One who is true love.
The only way my name is ever mispronounced
is when little children call me "Cafin"
and it warms my tender heart
to hear it when they say it,
yes, it's music to my ears
So in short I do not mind explaining how to write it.
And If somebody ask then I'll take my lip and bite it.
And wonder whether to say, "It's with a 'C' and not a 'K'"
Or whether to just spell it all the way
C-a-t-h-e-r-i-n-e
You know the best part of my name.
It's just me.

cute name, Catherine.. I had a RPG character named Catherine.. She was a real sweety ^^ When I told someone he wrote is as: Katheryne.. Wonderful, but wrong.. I know what it's like when your name is misspelled (Mine's Anneke, a dutch name, nobody outside of Holland can pronounce/write it.. Except Irish people, somehow)
