Stuffed Animals

Stuffed Animals

Every Child has stuffed animals.
They love and even sleep with.
To a child they are there best friends.
They listen to all their troubles.
or it will not matter how bad they are,
Are they may treat that stuffed animal horribly.

Yet they know that it will,
 Still be there for them.
To give them comfort if they need it.
To give them love no matter what.
It will not care what they may look like.
To love them even if they are bad.

Oh wouldn’t it be nice if we all,
Have something or someone.
Who would be as good to us?
As a stuffed animal is to a child.

As for me I have always have it with in.
The wonder of the eternal spirit,
Of all things.

    Awwwww...this is sooooo sweetly written! Portrays the idea of "Unconditional Love" with ease. Gave me a bad case of the warm fuzzies as I read Love the metaphore usage. Loved this one...such a loving positive poem! Great job!

    Wonderful..........
    A beautiful, very descriptive write.

    I remember when I was a little boy I would sleep with a stuffed animal. It was snoopy. After I outgrew him I still continued to hold on to him to one day hopefully show my kids. Yes, he is very old and fragile. One of his eyes came off and I remember my mom sewing a 4-eyed button there to take it's place. Every now and then I take him out and just look at him. It brings back such sweet memories of wonderful times in my life.

    You know, it sounds silly but that old worn-out snoopy is one thing I own that money "CAN NOT BUY".

    I have read 2 of your poems so far and I have enjoyed both of them very much. I will continue to visit you often.

    ~~~2 thumbs way up~~~
    In Christ,
    Wayne:)
    a sweet poem
    There are some that sadly say the bottle gives them such company.
    personally I have my guitar and he doesn't mind when I leave to go sleep with another man.
    my daughters stuffed shaggy dog is very jealous of her!
    Ah yes… This reminds me of the many stuffed animals that I have had throughout my childhood, and until now, after reading this poem, I believe that I have taken them for granted. I never really realized to the full extent the meaning of those little stuffed animals in my life. They were always there for me when I needed something to cry on, and they never seemed to judge. I don’t think I ever valued the worth they had in my mind, and as crazy as it may seem, the love that I got from them.
    we all had them.. but for some reason now i think stuffed animals are scarey as hell.. but nothing overdoes the horror of a doll or puppets or clowns!!! great poem tho.. keep it up
