Words come together in my mind
Words I can't express at a moments time
Words are what I need to hear
Simple words that say, you care
Four little words "I love you dear"
With pen in hand the words seem to flow
When I'm with you now only silence grows
On the telephone we use to talk for hours
Laughing and joking even singing it's all such a puzzle to me
I asked the lord to unlock our voices and let the words run free
One day I'd hope to tell you that I really care
And how often I wished you were still here
I liked the sound and the timber of your voice
I'd like some day to tell you that you were my only choice
These are the words one day to you I'd like to say
Words spoken out loud only if you felt the same way
Because I need to hear the words, three simple little words
"I Love you" and wished "you loved me"
To hear them would fill me with so much joy
But I guess it's not meant to be
I wrote these words to the man with all my heart I adored
He never answered not a single word just walked away for ever more
At the time I was blinded by pain and could not see
But it was the best thing he could have ever done for me

The last stanza was recently added because a month later I met my now fiancee and "They Live Happily Ever After." LOL
