Has time forgotten every tale
Forgiven me , my flaws, my fails
Or are there pages etched in stone
That mark the secrets I have known
An iron cross I wear and bear
Each lie a weight , a burden there
Carried by my darkened soul
On judgment day I pay the toll
Not pure of heart, of dream, or mind
Tainted by a world unkind
And still I wonder can time forgive
Or marked by sin do I yet live.

this isn't my favoite because it won gold, it's my favorite because it so clearly expresses how I was feeling at the time I wrote it.

Hey wait, this is the fourth contest you've entered with this poem.
Well, I can see why. It is well written and has a nice chime (i.e. it rang softly in my head). The piece a bit brooding, like questions unanswered. I like that.
Thanks for entering. -
wow, this was really well written, Thank you for entering

This is a great simpler write than others entered, but it's a great poem, full of meaning. I have a minor suggest, which is to reform your poem. With the rhyme scheme you have chosen, split your poem up as such. Thanks for entering and good luck.
