Angel Wed
Found an Angel, hov’ring there
Whose single kiss turned lone despair
Into embrace of sheltr’ing wings
She smiles at me while my heart sings
A ring each clasped ‘fore ocean’s view
As tide’s embrace made one from two
From stone piled high to clear blue sea
She bound me close and set me free
‘Pon charger blue we rode and laughed
With eyes stark wide and necks giraffed
Through hairpin turns she plunged, one hand,
My heart a’pound, OUR life so grand.
A playful path around the world
We walked and sighed as visions swirled
Profound impact of ancient site
To reminisce in love each night.
And yet, across our world, a crack
That dimmed our love and held us back
So tugged apart by hearts and hands
Our joy was trapped in steely bands
Until at last, in misery
We nearly set each other free
A bliss stretched taut, the breach ensured
Two hearts cried out and bare endured.
And yet a tingle still we felt
Through Fate’s cruel laugh and Joker dealt
Until at last we found a way
To let the love we feel hold sway
Each other for, we live, you see
And thus ensure eternity
Of our sweet love, this heart’s last bed
A grand fate found, once Angel wed

I don't know how I missed this one. A wiser man than me, once said, "Life is one fool thing after another and Love is two fool things after each other". And so goes life in whatever lane I happen to be in. I do wish you well in all of your endeavors...I see love, life and poetry are certainly among them.
As always your work displays a polish and refinement copied by many but equaled by none.
Sincerely,
Leo Long

Had to come here and read one of your works today my friend. I've been missing you and longing for your rhymed rhythms. You tribute your love so vibrantly. I know she realizes the catch she has with you Dan. I hope all is well with you both. Scream at me with a grand hello if and when you come to visit. I miss you!

Beautiful write
Oh my. This is a beautiful tribute to true love which endures the rough bumps as well as the smooth rides. First love is a feeling. Continued love is a decision. Enduring love requires a commitment.
I loved this piece. I was drawn to your poetry because of your name. "Invisible Man" by Ralph Ellison is one of my favorite books.
Beautiful write.

This is a very beautiful and heartwarming poem. It shows the love for one another and has wonderful imagery.
A ring each clasped ‘fore ocean’s view
As tide’s embrace made one from two
From stone piled high to clear blue sea
She bound me close and set me free
These lines for me tell the whole story of wedded bliss...Great work.

there is an angel one for every one that walks the earth but we sometimes have a hard time finding our angel even when they are right infront of our face this was truly a great write keep doing well

Romantic
SO romantic, this has a fantasy feeling sustained throughout the poem. From love's first intoxication to near shipwreck, then the gossamar strings pull you back together again. I enjoy a poem that tells a story ~ and the story would be pretty bland if love were easy and never had to be tested. Thank you for an uplifting read. -
wow
Oh wow this was so breathtaking..I just loved it.Thank you so much for sharing it with us!
