Nonsense of a Stupid Leaf

Gently leaves fall, doomed to perish
Crumble and wilt to add to the pile
Slowly dying in the air, never wanting to hit the ground
Hoping to be snatched back up by the wind
Feel the love rush past
Feel the rain fall down upon them and grow stronger
But the time has come for life's journey into this harsh world to end
Why must it go so quickly?
Always wanting more than can have
The ground is in sight
Dreading this downfall as brothers and sisters fell
Is there life after this habit?
There never again will be comfort of the sunlight
Shining down for me to soak and warmth
Never again can I ponder our existence
And never again will I get to see you
The time comes and they fall to their end
Landing on my knees
For the leaves are my tears,
From crying from when you left me in the dark
Unable to feel complete
Lost a part of what makes life fun
Lost a part of myself to you
And I need it back to be able to walk up right
To be able to make the life and the downfall again to the ground
So I can pick myself up to only do it over and over again
Yet we are so perfect together
We want to be together
I guess life is a never ending cycle of love and hurt.
